Challenging
Attitudes
Family and intimate partner violence disproportionately affects women, children and marginalised people. In Victoria, and across Australia, prevalence, severity and disclosures are increasing. This can and must change.

FVREE Family Violence Support
Training &
Prevention
We have a wide range of training programs that support adults, young people and early years settings to prevent family violence.
FVREE Family Violence ProgramsOur Approach To Prevention
Primary prevention involves challenging and disrupting the root causes of violence against women by addressing gender inequality.
FVREE Approach To Prevention
More than crisis response
We provide inclusive services to people, their pets and animals, not only support those responding to family violence, but also to end the cycle of violence in our lifetime.
We do this through investing in prevention and early intervention programs offered alongside our best-practice response and recovery supports.
Inequality,
the root cause
Family violence is driven by gender inequality and compounded by intersecting forms of oppression, creating overlapping experiences of discrimination.
Our work aims to tackle the drivers of family violence at the individual, community and systemic levels, while applying an intersectional approach.
