Support for Indigenous clients

indigenous FVREE is committed to providing culturally safe, supportive advocacy, with a holistic approach to services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims of family violence.

If you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, you have the options of working with our Aboriginal Liaison Case Workers. They provide family violence support and advocacy including risk assessments and safety planning and case management. They help you access a wide range of resources and assist you to make informed decisions. FVREE has strong partnerships with Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Service (BWAHS) and the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA).

External services are able to refer clients to the Aboriginal Liaison Case Worker at FVREE.

FVREE acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of this land and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. FVREE pays respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

FVREE acknowledges people from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex (LGBTI) communities, their children, pets and other animals, who are responding to family violence in the community.

FVREE respects all people who are responding to family violence, regardless of ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age and ability.
